Why Legal & Compliance Assistant at Vexere?
We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal & Compliance Assistant to support day-to-day legal administration, document control, basic contract handling, and compliance process checks. This is an entry-level role designed for recent graduates or candidates with up to two years’ experience. You’ll gain hands-on exposure to contracts, data privacy, internal policies, and cross-functional coordination in a fast-moving tech/platform environment.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  1. Admin & Records
    • Maintain contract repositories, trackers, and version control; ensure naming conventions and folder hygiene.
    • Log incoming legal requests, assign to the right owner, and follow up to closure.
    • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and action logs for legal/compliance reviews.
  2. Correspondence & Templates
    • Draft simple letters, notices, NDAs, and routine correspondence using approved templates.
    • Support bilingual formatting (EN–VI) and template consistency (headers, references, signatures).
  3. Contract Support
    • Perform first-pass checks for completeness (parties, scope, price, term, signatory authority).
    • Populate schedules/annexes and collect supporting documents (licenses, tax info, signatures).
  4. Compliance Operations
    • Assist with process walkthroughs, checklist execution, and evidence collection for internal audits or spot checks (e.g., approval trails, policy acknowledgements).
    • Help run policy rollouts (anti-bribery, data privacy, vendor code), training attendance, and attestations tracking.
    • Maintain risk & incident logs; prepare simple dashboards for management.
  5. Regulatory & Vendor Support
    • Keep an index of applicable regulations and track updates under lawyer supervision.
    • Assist with vendor due diligence (basic KYC, certification collection).
  6. Other
    • Coordinate signatures (wet/digital), stamping, notarization translations (if needed).
    • Liaise with Finance/Procurement/HR/Operations for document retrieval and process clarifications.

REQUIREMENTS

Must-have

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law.
  • 0–2 years of working experience in legal, compliance, or related areas. Fresh graduates are welcome.
  • Good command of English (reading, writing).
  • Strong attention to detail: ability to spot errors in names, dates, and legal references.
  • Good organizational skills: able to manage multiple requests and keep accurate records.
  • Reliable follow-through: takes ownership of tasks and ensures closure.
  • Proficiency in Google Workspace or Microsoft 365.
  • Basic Excel/Sheets skills: filters, pivot tables, data validation.

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with Jira, eContract, or Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools.
  • Exposure to data privacy, compliance, or corporate governance coursework.
  • Previous experience in a tech, SaaS, e-commerce, or OTA environment.
